El Agave No Sabe En Cual Lado Esta/The Agave Doesn’t Know Which Side It’s On

$1,450.00
SOLD

Original Acrylic on Canvas (30” H x 30” W x 1.5”D)

Growing up on the Texas Mexico border, I crossed the international bridge into Mexico daily to see relatives and take dance classes, then back across to do homework in English and watch Charlie’s Angels. I didn’t understand the complexity and gravity of “belonging” on one side or the other. In my mind and heart, I was fully rooted in both. This piece reflects the innocence we’re born with, and how nature doesn’t discriminate in the beauty it creates. The agave is stunning and strong regardless of its coordinates, like we all intrinsically are.

Price includes shipping within the Continental United States.
