This piece is inspired by the idea of “packing heat” but using bananas instead. As a counterpoint to the gun toting Texas culture, I decided to reimagine bananas as protection, as armor, or at the very least, as a humorous way to reframe and dispel the polarized norms we’ve created and live in.
